Wire Mesh

Woven wire mesh is a versatile metal product that is made by weaving wire strands together. It is widely used in various industries, including construction, mining, agriculture, and manufacturing, and is known for its strength and durability. Wire mesh is used for filtering, sieving, fencing, security screens, and insect screening. It can be made from different materials, including steel, stainless steel, and brass, and is available in different sizes and styles.

Types of Weave

Wire mesh can be woven in several different ways to create different patterns and densities. Here are some of the most common types of weave:

Plain weave: This is the simplest and most common type of woven wire mesh. In plain weave, each wire alternately passes over and under the adjacent wires in both the horizontal (weft) and vertical (warp) directions.

Twill weave: This type of weave creates a diagonal pattern in the mesh. It is formed by passing each weft wire alternately over two and then under two warp wires. This weave creates a tighter mesh with a higher wire count per inch, making it ideal for filtration applications.

Dutch weave: This is a tightly woven mesh with a higher wire count in the warp direction than in the weft direction. It is formed by using thicker warp wires and thinner weft wires, resulting in a mesh with a smooth and dense surface. Dutch weave mesh is commonly used for filtration applications where fine particles need to be filtered out. It is available in two types: plain Dutch weave and twilled Dutch weave. Plain Dutch weave has thicker warp wires and fewer weft wires, while twilled Dutch weave has a higher number of weft wires for a denser mesh.

The Product Range

We have a vast inventory of woven wire mesh available in a wide range of mesh specifications. Our rolls of woven wire stainless steel mesh are readily available for immediate delivery. We maintain a huge stock of mesh with mesh counts ranging from 2 mesh with a 1.6 mm wire diameter to 500 mesh with a 0.025 mm wire diameter. These specifications provide apertures from 11.1 mm down to 0.002 mm (2 microns).

In addition to stainless steel, we also stock woven wire mesh in a variety of other materials, including brass, phosphor bronze, copper, monel, aluminium, galvanized iron (GI)and nylon. We offer Type 304 and Type 316 stainless steel mesh in most specifications.

At our company, we strive to provide our customers with high-quality woven wire mesh that meets their unique needs and specifications. With our extensive inventory and knowledgeable team, we are confident that we can help you find the right mesh for your application. Contact us today to learn more about our products and services.
